Low Key Fall Weekend

Sunday, October 26, 2008

thaKing and I had a nice and uneventful weekend. Yet, I did leave him at home yesterday to go to Keeneland and bet on Curlin in the Breeder's Cup. The horse of the century was upset because I bet on him. I'm sure of it. Sunday was spent going to the Green Expo downtown. We learned interesting things about composting and concrete homes. We capped the trip downtown off with signature hot chocolate from Starbucks. Mmmm.

Once home, I started whipping up one of my fall favorites...butternut squash soup. It is the epitome of fall in it's color and aroma.
