My first project on my new sewing machine was a KING size dog bed for Miss Elka. I purchased the pretty print from the remnant section at Hancock fabrics for about $5. The fury side (which will regularly be the upright side) was about $10. With thread and Velcro, the whole thing cost $25. I used a full size mattress cover, folded in half for the stuffing. The time spent to make it with my Mom, Aunt Betty, Kendra and Lindsey was priceless of course! For perception, check out one of her other dog beds in the background.

I am so over winter!  I am super busy with work now, trudging back and forth to the courthouse, in the snow and freezing cold.  I think the temperature has been over freezing once this month!  thaKing and I just went to the Dominican in August, but I am thinking in order to save my mental health, a vacation to somewhere warm and sunny is necessary ASAP, even if it's only for four days.

I really hate to bring up work stuff on here, since this blog is my outlet for fun things in life, fun finds, etc. Nonetheless, I have to vent about this uber pet peeve of mine.....why do so many people not understand the concept "I WILL CALL YOU WHEN I HEAR SOMETHING."?  Calling me at least twice per day will not speed along the hearing of something about your very important issue.  They must think that I'm sitting around filing my nails, drinking my Starbux (well that part is most likely true), while relishing in the fact that I have heard something about their issue, and receiving orgasmic joy in delaying informing them of said information.   Muuuhahahaha!
